It was a COLD day! Smaller than typical turnout, but lots of fun.
It was 21 degrees when I left home. I rode for 45 minutes then went to the Dunkin Donuts to meet up with whomever showed up.
Banshee showed up first all the way from Somerset county and then GC showed up. The three of us (Valkyrie, VTX 1800 and V-Strom 650) headed off to Wawayanda State Park.
The park was VERY nice at this time of year. I've been told that it gets kind of crowded and "icky" durign the summer months, but all I noticed were the crisp, clean roads, a beaver-chewed tree stump and some great views of the lakes, fields, etc. I loved it. It was probably 25 degrees when we got there.
We then headed north to Florida, NY... Where it was NOT warmer. Then randomly through the area "up there" and back into Jersey... Then I let the GPS take us home via the route I call "Take the smallest roads you can find as long as they are paved" setting.
140+ miles total and I'm pretty sure that 90% or more of it was below the freezing point. Fun!
Here is our route according to GPS:
