Here is the official ride message about the day's plans. Thre was no post-ride message:

First, a very quick ride report. Last Thursday's run to Chatterbox was
great. Perfect weather and a good turnout at the place. Only downside was
some unexpected traffic just outside of Basking Ridge, NJ... Who woulda
thought? Only four of us left Millington for the ride up. Imagine this...
A Valkyrie, a VTX1800, a KLR650 and finally a KLX250S. We avoided almost
all highways in between except for a little touch of 46 and 10 in
Ledgewood... But mostly all back roads including some that were so small, I
thought they were private driveways at first...

So... If for no other reason other than to welcome in the month of October
or thumb our noses at traffic jams, I think it is time for a burger meet and
ride... If you know me at all, you know this is not going to be just any
burger meet and ride.

September 30th, 2007.
12:00 noon at the Clinton Station Diner, Clinton, NJ.

Route 173 & Bank Street
Clinton , NJ 08809
(908) 713 - 0012

Rain or shine. Bike, car, RV, whatever... I'll be there.

I'll might be convinced to once again eat a 2 lb. cheeseburger and challenge
anyone who wants to make the trip to match / race me if anyone is game...
No prizes awarded. Otherwise, you can try the 1 lb. or smaller burgers made
for lightweights. If you feel really confident, you can try the 3 or 7 lb.
burgers made for lunatics... You can share a 25 or even 50 lb. burger with
your table if you want. Just don't expect to finish it... If you want to
partake in a 7+ lb. burger, let me know ASAP so I can tell the place to be
prepared for us. They normally can do this with no problems, but sometimes
have to bake the bread and that takes time as you can imagine! We do want
to ride that day, right?

For all you "normal" folks, they have other food items which are very good
in this humble, non-professional eater's opinion.

All are welcome to attend.

Weather permitting afterwards, a ride on two wheels to parts unknown. Maybe
north to High Point, NJ or someplace with rest rooms. <grin>

The ride, as always, will be for anyone who wants to participate on a
motorcycle. We will ride together but not in formation. That is, we will
all be going to the same place and most of us will probably stick together
(I'll have the cheater/GPS and a good route lined up) but you will be
expected to ride in a safe, courteous manner. We strive to provide an
environment where the most skilled rider and the novice can both enjoy a
great day and route.

Anyone wanting to ride down to the Clinton Station Diner with me that
morning can reply and thus contact me privately by e-mail. I'll be leaving
West Orange, NJ at 11:00 AM and would love the company. Again, rain or
shine. Bike, car, RV, whatever... I'll be there.

See you on the 30th! Be hungry... Very hungry.
